The Golden Globes may be taking place virtually from coast to coast on Sunday night, but that won’t stop the night’s stars and nominees from turning up for the 78th annual awards ceremony. Scroll down for an updating gallery of the looks the presenters and nominees are sporting tonight, whether in person or remote.
The event will be hosted by Golden Globes MVPs Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, with Fey and Poehler in New York and Los Angeles, respectively.

Meanwhile, there are sure to be more than a few surprises in store from a starry lineup of presenters including Anthony Anderson, Awkwafina, Kevin Bacon, Angela Bassett, Sterling K. Brown, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Michael Douglas, Ava DuVernay, Cynthia Erivo, Colin Farrell, Gal Gadot, Tiffany Haddish, Salma Hayek, Kate Hudson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Meloni, Tracy Morgan, Annie Mumolo, Sandra Oh, Sarah Paulson, Rosie Perez, Joaquin Phoenix, Margot Robbie, Kyra Sedgwick, Amanda Seyfried, Christian Slater, Ben Stiller, Kenan Thompson, Justin Theroux, Susan Kelechi Watson, Kristen Wiig, Renee Zellweger, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Nominations were announced February 3 ahead of the February 28 ceremony. Netflix leads the pack of nominated studios in 2021 with a total of 42 Golden Globe nominations, including leading film nominee “Mank” (with six nominations) and leading television nominee “The Crown” (also six nominations). Other Netflix contenders include “The Trial of the Chicago 7” and “The Queen’s Gambit,” frontrunners to win Best Picture Drama and Best Limited Series, as well as “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” for lead actors Viola Davis and Chadwick Boseman.
Other streaming platforms like Amazon and Hulu also managed to rack up double-digit nominations this year. Amazon Studios landed 10 noms courtesy of “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” dominating the Musical/Comedy categories, plus Steve McQueen’s omnibus film series “Small Axe.” Hulu also earned 10 nominations thanks to “Palm Springs” and a handful of television contenders, from “Normal People” to “The Great.”
The ceremony arrives as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the organization which hosts the annual fete, are under scrutiny for questionable practices and a lack of diversity in the voting body. The ceremony is expected to address the issue in some form during the broadcast.
The Golden Globes will air live coast to coast from 5-8 p.m. PT/8-11 p.m. ET on NBC and will be available to stream the next day on Peacock. Cord cutters have several options to view the show. Audiences can use services such as Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV, AT&T TV Now, Sling TV, and Fubo TV, all of which allow consumers to watch NBC live. (Live channels may vary depending on your region.) While subscribing to those platforms costs more than the industry’s popular streaming services, they offer free trials — ideal for those who are only interested in tuning in for the Golden Globes.
