2020 in Review: The 10 Worst Shows
No fewer than 10 TV shows oughta prepare for coal in their stockings: This year, they were bad.
Thus far, TVLine’s Year in Review has only singled out the best shows of 2020, including the 10 dramas and 10 comedies that won our hearts — but we’re not letting the year’s biggest duds off so easy.
In the attached gallery, you’ll find our picks for the 10 very worst series, featuring flops from the drama, comedy and reality genres. It’s not that we wanted to dislike them — some shows, like Netflix’s Space Force and HBO’s Avenue 5, actually came with rather high expectations — but after screening their seasons, we really had no choice.
Most of our picks, including Fox’s NEXT and Netflix’s Ratched, were new to the TV landscape this year, as were HBO’s romantic thriller Run, NBC’s quarantine comedy Connecting and CBS’ Pauley Perrette sitcom Broke. USA Network’s The Sinner, meanwhile, stands alone in the returning series category, following its lackluster third season.
Scroll through the attached gallery (or click here for direct access) to see which series claimed the No. 1 spot, then drop a comment below with your own regrettable viewing decisions from this year.
