Everyone knows the Ford’s 526-horsepower Shelby GT350R is a worthy contender on both the track and the street, but this black on black example is really showing off its collector and show qualities as well.

For the last year of the GT350R, Ford has pulled out all the stops with a race ready street machine. Under the hood is a 5.2-liter V8 linked with a 6-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. Refined aerodynamics and the use of lightweight materials made the car a full 130-lbs lighter with more downforce than the Track Pack GT350. It features a vented hood, a Shelby-branded front splitter, a carbon-fiber rear wing, 19-inch carbon-fiber wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Other features included a MagneRide damping system, independent rear suspension, a line-lock launch control, and Brembo brake calipers over two-piece vented rotors.

This long list of performance features already makes the GT350R highly desirable but when you throw in a stunning color scheme, Ebony cloth and Miko suede trimmed Recaro Sport seats, and a Alcantara wrapped steering wheel, you have a race inspired Mustang that is just as suited for the show or collection as it is the track. This particular 2020 example being offered on Bring a Trailer tops that with a set of dual over-the-top matte black stripes outlined in red and a ceramic coating that was applied in 2021. With just 31-miles showing, this car is still on its first tank of gas and comes accompanied with the original window sticker.
