2018 in Review: The Scenes We Desperately Wish We Could Unsee
As TVLine continues looking back on the year that was, it’s time to discuss some of the TV scenes we simply can’t forget — no matter how hard we try.
The list of small-screen incidents we wish we could wipe from our collective memory features a mixed bag of unfortunate visuals, including several cringeworthy medical procedures, multiple gruesome deaths and even one gratuitously snotty performance of Hamilton. (We would have ranked these gnarly sights, but that would have required spending even more time with them than we already have.)
But before you go reaching for a bucket, not every moment on our list is nauseating. Some of them (including one from the Big Bang Theory) were simply unsettling — disturbing, even — without necessarily venturing into “icky” territory.
It should also go without saying — but we’re saying it, just in case — that this gallery is loaded with spoilers. So if you’ve got a TV show burning a hole in your DVR, you might want to make sure you’re all caught up before you proceed any further. … OK, fine, but don’t say we didn’t warn you.
