2018 Chevy Corvette ZR1 leaked on Car and Driver cover

The 2018 Chevy Corvette ZR1 is coming. We've seen spy shots for months and months. We've seen several prototypes running around Detroit. And now we're getting an early look at this new mega Corvette in the latest issue of Car and Driver. The magazine appears to feature the new ZR1 on its December cover, and a preview image was sent to subscribers Wednesday showing the Vette in all its winged glory. It also is shown on this page for new subscribers.

Because this is just a preview, we don't actually have any details beyond what's on the cover, which also says the Corvette will have 750 horsepower. The new car appears to have all the wings and aero bits we've seen in spy shots. In fact, the additional parts make the Z06 look pedestrian by comparison. We don't know what's under the hood, but that big bulge in the center is likely hiding a supercharger. From the photo, it looks like both the hood and roof are bare carbon fiber, but we won't know for sure until we get a better image.

Need more ZR1 info? Chevy also released the the video below this morning. It previews a Corvette event Sunday, Nov. 12. The teaser doesn't show much, but we do get some close shots of the aero and a small blip of the engine. Stay tuned for more news this weekend.
