Eighteen-year-old pop singer Bea Miller opened the MTV Movie and TV Awards festival on Sunday (May 7) with a performance of her track “Young Blood” and a previously unreleased song, which fans are attributing the title “Buy Me Diamonds.”

Next up was Demetrius Shipp Jr., who will play legendary late rapper Tupac Shakur in the 2017 film All Eyez on Me.

Rising pop singer  Zara Larsson performed “Don’t Let Me Be Yours” and rockers All Time Low delivered such hits as “Weightless,” “Dirty Laundry,” and “Last Young Renegade.”

The red carpet was cut short by about an hour due to inclement weather, but Billboard caught up with musicians and actors who were willing to brave the storm and chat about their favorite things to watch and listen to.
