Thursday

Olde Courthouse Catacombs and House of Lecter

Oct. 12-15, 19-22, 26-31, Nov. 3-4; Fourth and Vine streets, and 325 Main St., 7-9 p.m. Sunday and Thursday, 7-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, $20 for individual tickets to either haunted house or $30 for unlimited trips on night of tour.

Downtown Evansville's scariest haunted house is back and ready to put a fright into citizens. Walk through creepy corridors of the dungeon to see the scariest parts of the building.

USI Theatre: 'Dracula'

Oct. 12-15, Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m., USI Performance Center, 8600 University Blvd. Tickets range from $2 to $15.

This year's annual Repertory Project Production, in conjunction with the Actor's Equity Association, features an inventive "feminist revenge fantasy" version of the classic tale of "Dracula" that delves into the concept of predators with a dark comedic twist that transforms the traditional narrative of Victorian vampires.

iLuminate

7 p.m., Victory Theatre, 600 Main St. Tickets range from $22 to $62.

This group features an immersive show that's a mixture of dance, music, and light as they combine a fusion of technology and dance that wakes the imagination.

UE Theatre: 'The Seagull'

Oct. 12-15, Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m., Shanklin Theatre, 1800 Lincoln Ave, Tickets range from $18 to $20

This story of unrequited love story is set in the 1890s Russian countryside and follows the passionate lives of the main characters as they make decisions that are often destructive but recognizably human.

Tri-State Amateur Comedy Contest

8 p.m., Jennings Street Public House, 300 W. Jennings St. in Newburgh. Free.

For several Thursday nights in September and October, this event will feature 40 amateur comedians from the community each doing three to five minutes of original material.

Friday

Boo at the Zoo

Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden, 2421 Bement Ave. Tickets are $8.

Enjoy the zoo and botanic garden for Halloween fun. Live music and entertainment, décor, trick or treating, animal encounters and more will happen each night. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes. Tickets must be purchased online and will not be sold at the gate.

5:30 p.m., Bluestocking Social, 606 S. Weinbach Ave. Free.

Local author Kyle Darnell is signing and reading parts of his new book "Evansville Monsters," which features spooky stories inspired by local legends.

Artist Reception: Lunden King

6 p.m., Evansville African American Museum, 579 S. Garvin St, Free

Join the EAAM as it celebrate its first solo artist for the Black Art Exhibition Series, Lunden King with his exhibition, "Cyber Roots: African American Street Art Meets a Flow of Sheek in the Digital Realms." King explores how the journey of time and culture intertwines with the spirit of street art and the limitless possibilities of digital creation.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

8 p.m., Old National Events Plaza, 715 Locust St, Tickets range from $29 to $59

Join the original "Brad Majors" Barry Bostwick for a screening of the original, unedited movie with a live shadow cast and audience participation. There will also be a memorabilia display with artifacts, an actual costume from the movie, a costume contest and more. A meet and greet with Bostwich is available before the movie for an extra ticket fee.

Saturday

Mt. Zion's Annual Apple Fest

Satruday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., AEP Honey Creek Farm, U.S. 231-1249 East County Road in Rockport, Indiana. Free.

This experience offers a mixture of things for the whole family with delicious food, live music, inflatable rides, barrel train rides, face painting, vendors, petting zoo, arts, crafts and more.

Fall Market on Main & Chili Cook-off

10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Downtown Henderson Main Street. Free.

Shop between First and Washington, where different artisans and handcrafters will be selling antiques, art, and handcrafted goods. After shopping, stop at Central Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. where the chili cook-off with Downtown Henderson Partnership and the Henderson Police Department will be taking place.

Evansville Vendor Extravaganza

Oct 14-15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., 3300 E. Division St, Free/

This fall craft show and free kids' pumpkin patch offers a little bit for the whole family. Parents can visit different vendors at the craft show, while kids can visit the pumpkin patch, trick or treat, and do crafts in the arts corner.

Wandering Owl Twilight Tasting

3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wesselman Woods in Evansville. Tickets are $60.

This autumn celebration returns to give guests the opportunity to enjoy special encounters with resident wildlife while savoring great food, beer and wine.

Eat, Drink & Be Scary

4 p.m., Willard Library, 21 First Avenue, Free.

Come trick or treat in Evansville's haunted library, where you can win prizes for best costumes, enjoy local food trucks, and a beer garden for visitors 21 and older. A showing of the 1984 Halloween movie "Ghostbusters" is set for 6:45 p.m.

War helicopter visit

Friday and Saturday at 4 p.m., Evansville Wartime Museum, 7503 Petersburg Road. Tickets are $100 for adults, $50 for children 12 and under, and WWII and Korean Vets ride for free

The Vietnam-era Bell UH-1 Huey helicopter will visit the museum for ground tours and public flights.

Disney Jr. Live On Tour: Costume Palooza

4 p.m., Old National Events Plaza, 715 Locust St. Tickets are $27 to $82.

Audiences are encouraged to dress up for this fun-filled experience that features Disney Jr. characters Mickey, Minnie and more as they prepare to throw the biggest costume party.

EPO Performance

7 p.m., Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, 20 NW Third St. Tickets range from $20 to $85.

For fans of Cinematic Universe Films, the EPO will be performing scores from favorite superhero movies and games including "Black Panther," "Super Mario Bros.," "Spiderman" and more. Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero and join the costume parade.

Pink the Rink Hockey Game

7 p.m., Swonder Ice Arena, 209 N. Boeke Road. Tickets are $5.

The Evansville Hoses will take on the Nashville Fire Hockey for a benefit game that will highlight breast cancer awareness with the proceeds going to Cancer Pathways Midwest.

Sunday

NoCo Makers Market

11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Carpenter Street from Second to Third streets in Evansville. Free.

This event has more than 30 vendors selling baked goods, candles, flowers and more. Children's activities include free pumpkins, arts and crafts, and more free activities. Live music will be provided, and Myriad Brewing Co. will host a beer garden for attendees 21 and older.

Charlie Berens

6 p.m., Victory Theatre, 600 Main St. Tickets range from $36 to $65.

Comedian Charlie Berens is stopping in Evansville on his "Good Old Fashioned" tour which features sketch comedy and Midwest humor.
