2 Chainz and Lil Wayne have released a new single, “Long Story Short,” off their forthcoming joint album, Welcome 2 Collegegrove. The pair will perform the track live on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, Nov. 13.

Welcome 2 Collegegrove will arrive on Nov. 17 via Def Jam Recordings. The album follows the pair’s 2016 collaborative effort ColleGrove, named after 2 Chainz’ hometown of College Park, Georgia, and Lil Wayne’s hometown of Hollygrove, Louisiana. Recently, the duo shared the LP’s debut single, “Presha.”

2 Chainz and Lil Wayne have been collaborating since 2007 when Lil Wayne hopped on “Duffle Bag Boy” by Playaz Circle. They’ve since joined forces on singles like “Rich As Fuck” and Juicy J’s strip club anthem “Bandz a Make Her Dance.”

Lil Wayne’s most recent solo LP, Funeral, arrived in 2020. Fans have recently been speculating that he’s preparing to drop Tha Carter VI, but so far no announcement has been made. In September, the rapper released “Kat Food,” a thumping song produced by Charlie Handsome, FNZ, and Rogét Chahayed that samples Missy Elliott‘s “Work It.”

2 Chainz’s most recent album, Dope Don’t Sell Itself, was released in 2022. In June, he unveiled a new song, “Sunset High,” during 1989 Studio’s runway show for Spring/Summer 2024 at Paris Fashion Week.
