Austin Butler, Tom Hardy and Jodie Comer recently starred in the first trailer for "The Bikeriders," a movie that was partly filmed in Cincinnati last fall.

The Jeff Nichols-directed film tells the story of a 1960s Midwestern motorcycle cub called the Vandals. The script, which was co-written by Nichols and Danny Lyon, was inspired by Lyon's book about the Chicago Outlaws Motorcycle Club.

In the movie's first trailer released Wednesday, Comer, starring as Kathy, recounts her romance with motorcycle club member Benny, played by Butler. Tensions rise between Benny and the club's leader, Johnny, played by Hardy, as the group becomes more involved in illegal activities.

"The Bikeriders" also stars Michael Shannon, Boyd Holbrook and Damon Herriman. It airs in theaters Dec. 1.

Enquirer reporters picked up on some familiar-looking locations. A few possible Cincinnati spots include:

  • Purple People Bridge.

  • Taylor-Southgate Bridge.

  • Edgewater Motor Sports Park.

  • Pepper Pod Restaurant in Newport.
