The holiday season is here and businesses across Louisville are flinging open their doors to welcome (what they hope) are hordes of shoppers.

The National Retail Federation is forecasting upward of $966.6 billion to be spent by holiday shoppers nationwide and numerous local businesses, including restaurants, are hoping to grab a piece of that pie.

This year, Small Business Saturday, a nationwide holiday encouraging people to shop small and support local businesses, falls on Nov. 25.
