17 Shocking And Terrifying Celeb Injuries That Prove Just How Dangerous Being A Performer Can Be

This past weekend, while Bebe Rexha was performing, a fan threw a phone at her, and she fell to the ground. She left the stage and later revealed she had a black eye and needed stitches from the injury.

And Bebe isn't the only one — sometimes live performances can be incredibly dangerous for fans and performers alike. Here are 16 more celebs who've gotten injured at their own shows:

1.In 2012, Lady Gaga was accidentally hit in the head by a metal prop piece during a show in New Zealand. She promptly left the stage to assess the injury, and then came back saying, “I want to apologize, I did hit my head, and I think I may have a concussion. But don’t you worry, I will finish this show.”

I had a gash in my chin, a hole in the back of my head, a broken rib, and a fractured leg. One arm was paralyzed.”

7.Metallica's James Hetfield was severely burned after stepping over one of the band's pyrotechnic canisters. The person operating the device didn't realize where James was standing, a "big colored flame" came up, and James was "completely engulfed." Remembering the experience, James told VH1, "I'm burnt. My arm, my hand, completely down to the bone. The side of my face. Hair’s gone. Part of my back. I watched the skin just rising, all these things going wrong."
