These 17 Celeb Couples Keep Their Relationships Super Private, And Their Reasonings Are All Very Valid

For actors, living life in the spotlight comes with the job. While a lot of celebs elect to share everything with their fans, whether it's their relationships, their children, and more, there are some who choose to try and live their lives as privately as possible, especially when it comes to their relationships.

So, below are 17 celebs who have elected to keep their relationship pretty private and what they've said about it:

1.First, Eva Mendes, who has been with Ryan Gosling since 2011, says its very important to them to keep their relationship and their daughters' lives private. In response to an Instagram comment about why she doesn't post about Ryan and their children, she wrote, "Hi! I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids. I'll talk about them, of course, with limits, but I won't post pictures of our daily life."

She continued, saying that she won't post pictures of her children until they are old enough to consent to the picture being posted on social media.

2.Dolly Parton has set very strict boundaries when it comes to her 57-year marriage to Carl Dean. Speaking about why she finds it important to keep their relationship private, she said, "I learned early on. And I think my mama told me when I was young, 'Always keep something back for you. You can give what you've got to give, but don't give it all away. Always keep something for you.'"

3.Robert Pattinson has elected to keep his relationship with Suki Waterhouse as private as possible. "If you let people in, it devalues what love is. If a stranger on the street asked you about your relationship, you’d think it extremely rude. If you put up a wall, it ends up better. I can’t understand how someone can walk down the street holding hands, and it’s the same as when I do it and a hundred people are taking your photo," Robert explained.

He added, "The line between when you’re performing and when you’re not will eventually get washed away, and you’ll go completely mad."

4.Recently, Zendaya opened up about trying to keep her relationship with Tom Holland pretty private, saying, "Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can't not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share. It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist."

5.Similarly, Tom Holland has talked about protecting his privacy with Zendaya. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Tom said, "Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible. We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it's our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers."

6.Kristen Stewart, who is engaged to writer Dylan Meyer, has discussed wanting to keep her relationship private. She explained, "Not because I felt ashamed of being openly gay but because I didn't like giving myself to the public, in a way. It felt like such thievery. This was a period of time when I was sort of cagey. Even in my previous relationships, which were straight, we did everything we could to not be photographed doing things — things that would become not ours."

7.Kerry Washington said because she was "super-sharey" early on in her career, it has made her more private when it came to her relationship with her husband Nnamdi Asomugha. She explained, "There were moments when I wanted to process things that were happening to me more privately, and I didn't have the space to do it, because once you let people in, they're in and you don't get to say, 'Oh, I want this for myself.'"

When asked about sticking to her "privacy-first" approach for the wedding, Millie said, "Just because there are only so many moments in life that you get only once. 9.Ashton Kutcher, who is married to Mila Kunis, said he "learned the hard way how valuable privacy is," which is why he values his private life with Mila and their children so much. 10.Since the beginning, Jessica Chastain has kept her relationship with her husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo away from her public life.
