Winners & Losers

Stocks sinking into the red include Armstrong Flooring as it reported earnings and revenue that missed Street estimates; Teva Pharmaceutical on a downgrade to underweight at Morgan Stanley; and Gogo. Shares of the in-flight Internet provider sinking after posting a wider-than-expected loss, noting increased costs related to the launch of its new high-speed service.

Meanwhile, stocks ending the day in the green include home dialysis company NxStage on news its being acquired for $2 billion, or $30 per share; Tyson Foods after a big beat on both its top and bottom lines, with prepared foods and pork driving profits; and Rockwell Collins. Shares higher after reports United Technologies submitted an offer for the aircraft parts maker, according to Reuters.
