14 Movie Sequels Coming To The Big Screen In 2022

There are a lot of movies coming out this year, and a lot of those movies are sequels.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is slated to come out on September 23 and will follow Puss's adventures as he tries to restore the eight lives he's burned through. Both Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek are set to return.

12.Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to be released on November 11. There isn't much known about it, other than If Beale Street Could Talk and Judas and the Black Messiah star Dominique Thorne will make her MCU debut as Riri Williams (aka Ironheart).

13.Avatar 2

A Na'vi in Avatar

The long-awaited Avatar sequel is set for a holiday release, hitting theaters on December 16. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang are all reprising their roles, and newcomers include Vin Diesel, Michelle Yeoh, and Jemaine Clement.

14.Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is also due to come out on December 16 (though it wouldn't be all that surprising if it or Avatar 2 moved dates to avoid the competition). Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morrison, and Nicole Kidman are all returning for the sequel.
