This list encompasses just a few of the best places to start your morning in Columbus. And as for brunch favorites, two Columbus restaurants were listed as the most popular brunch spots in the U.S. by OpenTable last month and would be a good place to start.

From diners with a massive list of dishes to cafes with curated menus, here are 15 of the best restaurants for breakfast in Columbus.

Fox in the Snow

Listed as the number one breakfast restaurant on TripAdvisor, Fox in the Snow, at 1031 N. 4th St., Italian Village is a beloved bakery-café that serves freshly baked pastries and coffee. Try its flaky croissants, sandwiches, avocado toast or cinnamon rolls for a morning treat.

Tommy's Diner

Located at 914 W. Broad St. in Franklinton, Tommy's Diner offers a cozy retro atmosphere and serves classic breakfast favorites served all day, such as steak and eggs, Belgian waffles, hotcakes and omelets. The menu also features a few twists, such as the breakfast club sandwich and cinnamon swirl french toast.

Original Pancake House

With Columbus locations at 1633 W. Lane Ave. in Upper Arlington or 715 Worthington Road in Westerville, Original Pancake House knows pancakes. It serves Cuban-inspired fare, including its breakfast, such as huevos rancheros, chilaquiles and breakfast burritos. 3 Brothers Diner

At 3090 Southwest Blvd. in Grove City, 3 Brothers Diner is a local favorite run by brothers from Oaxaca, Mexico, with a menu featuring Mexican, Cuban and American fusion cuisine. Some breakfast items also come with a Greek twist such as the GEF — gyro, egg and feta on grilled Texas toast — or gyro omelet.

SuperChefs

Now at 1376 Cherry Bottom Road in Gahanna, SuperChefs and its superhero-themed menu includes indulgent eats, such as the "Juggernaut" egg, chicken and waffle sandwich; the "Hulk" sandwich with egg and sausage in between waffles; and the "Wakanda Oreo" waffle. At 657 High St. in Worthington, Joya's is a Bengali American cafe with dishes unlike any other breakfast spot in Columbus. The menu features a varied and frequently rotating menu, with current items like Joya's breakfast sandwich and Joya's "toast-in-a-box" with Bengali omelet, pork roll, pepper jack cheese and fried lotus root.
