$14 Wedding Ceremonies Available for Couples Who Want to Marry on Valentine’s Day

The California chapel's special will last from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 14 and allows up to four guests to attend the ceremony

Wedding ceremonies costing only $14 are being offered to couples who’d like to get married on Valentine’s Day.

Cute Little Wedding Chapel in Long Beach, California, is offering discounted marriages, with the special lasting from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 14 for a ceremony that includes the couple and up to four guests.

According to the company's website, the $14 fee covers the costs for a ceremony only. An additional fee of $85 will be added to instantly to obtain the marriage license, as well as a notary fee of $90 and delivery for a total of $175 if the couple doesn’t come with a certified certificate.

“Get married on Valentine’s Day at our beautiful indoor or outdoor wedding chapel,” the Cute Little Wedding Chapel offered on its website, adding that “it is so easy and fun to get married here.”

According to the CW news affiliate KTLA 5, this year marks Cute Little Wedding Chapel’s seventh consecutive year of offering the Valentine’s Day deal, which, according to the company, “breaks tradition with other chapels that jack up their prices for Valentine’s Day ceremonies.”

Per KTLA, most of the ceremonies will be performed the venue's officiant, Alan Katz, “who has married more than 6,500 couples.” According to Entertainment Weekly, Katz was also featured on an episode of the ABC reality series, The Prank Panel, when he enlisted hosts Johnny Knoxville, Eric Andre, and Gabourey Sidibe to pull one over on his wife and fellow officiant, Al-x.

According to its website, the Cute Little Wedding Chapel offers a number of extra services, including certifying and mailing copies of marriage certificates for $15 each. There's also three notary fees required when the license is issued by the venue.

Other add-ons include professional pictures and video of the ceremony, real flowers provided by a local florist and additional decorations — draping and silk floral arrangements — for the outside terrace. Additionally, the couple can buy simple gold or silver wedding bands.

If the couple wants to have more than the four guests that's allowed in the Valentine’s Day special, they can invite up to 30 guests at the venue's regular fees.
