Food Drive at Lincoln Center

There will be a Food Drive in front of both Trader Joe's and Podesto's Market & Deli on Saturday, Dec. 9.

St. Mary's and Lincoln High School baseball teams will collect non-perishable food items from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The donations collected will benefit the Emergency Food Bank of San Joaquin.

Christmas at the Children's Museum of Stockton

Santa will be visiting The Children's Museum of Stockton from noon-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9. Photos with Santa are free but if you are planning on staying and entering the museum you will be required to pay admission.

2nd Saturdays for Families at the Haggin Museum

The Haggin Museum is hosting its Second Saturday for Families event of Holiday Kaleidoscope on Saturday, Dec. 9. The Second Saturday for Families events are for children ages 5-12 featuring hands-on events. Some activities may include art or interactive projects and museum events.

While reservations are not required seating is available on a first come-first served basis, their website states. Materials and activities are free with regular admission to the Haggin Museum. This Saturday children can learn how to make kaleidoscope.

Tickets are $8 adults, $7 seniors and military, $5 youth 10-17 years old and students with ID. Admission is free for museum members and children under 10 years old.

Cookies and Claus at the Weberstown Mall

Head over to the Weberstown Mall at the Dilliard's Court for Cookies with Mrs. Claus. Cookies with Claus will be on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 1-2 p.m. in Dillard’s Court. This is a free event for the community with cookies and holiday crafts.

Pacific "Horns for the Holidays" at The Haggin

Head over to the Haggin Museum for Pacific Horns for the Holidays on Saturday, Dec. 9.

"Students and community members will come together to perform music that is sure to get you in a festive spirit," the Haggin Museum website states.

Anyone interested in performing alongside the Conservatory of Music at the University of the Pacific’s Horn Ensemble can contact Sadie Glass via email at sglass@pacific.edu.

Glass is a program director and assistant professor at the University of Pacific. Middle school and high school students or community members who play the French horn are welcome to participate.

Tickets are $8 adults, $7 seniors and military, $5 youth 10-17 years old and students with ID. Admission is free for museum members and children under 10 years old.

Holidays at Lincoln Center

Santa is coming to the Lincoln Center. Meet Santa and take a photo with him this month. There will also be snowfall you do not want to miss through Sunday, Dec. 31. Snowfall will be from 5-9 p.m. every half hour, every day. This is a free event open to the public.

Santa Sunday at Calivines Winery

Santa will make a stop at Calivines Winery on Sunday, Dec. 10 for their Warehouse Wonderland.

Tickets are $13 and they are per child. Both adults and any children under the age of 1 year old do not need a ticket for event entry. Photos will be taken with visitors smartphones and cameras.

"Tickets include a photo opportunity with Mr. & Mrs. Claus, a holiday goodie bag, and access to our delightful hot cocoa bar," the event's ticket website states.

If you love a good classic movie then head over to the Bob Hope Theatre for movie day on the silver screen.

Friends of the Fox Classic Movie series presents "It's A Wonderful Life," a 1946 fantasy and comedy film starting James Stewart, Donna Reed, and Frank Capra.

Doors will open at 1 p.m. Dave Moreno will be at the Mighty Morton organ at 1:30 p.m. Sunday and master of ceremonies Matías Bombal will kick off the movie at 2 p.m. Tickets are $3 for children 4-year-old to 12-years-old. General admission is $9.

Photos with Santa at Weberstown Mall

The Stockton Chorale's holiday performance "Light, Peace & Joy"

The Stockton Choral is presenting "Light, Peace & Joy," two-holiday concerts at two different venues. The shows will be at at the Vineyard Chapel in Lodi and the San Joaquin Delta College Atherton Auditorium in Stockton.

  • 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at Vineyard Chapel, Cherokee Memorial at 14165 N Beckman Rd in Lodi. With the Lathrop High School Chair as a guest.

Meet Santa Claus at The Primitive Barn

Santa Claus will be making a few stops at The Primitive Barn in Linden this December. He will be at the barn on Saturday, Dec. 9, and Saturday, Dec. 16 to take photos. Admission and parking are free. Donations for reindeer feed are welcomed. The entrance to the barn is at Wall Road.

Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' at Stockton Civic Theatre

The Stockton Civic Theatre is having Beauty and the Beast at the Clyde Nielsen Auditorium. A play with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman & Tim Rice.

"The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self," the Stockton Civic Theatre website states. "But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity."

Stockton Lantern Festival

Stockton Lantern Festival will be in downtown Stockton from November to January. The Stockton Ballpark will transform into Koda's Journey to the Magic Forest with over 20,000 LED lights.

"Follow the footsteps of an 8-year-old boy named Koda to take on an exciting adventure to the deep woods of Caballococha, Peru," the Stockton Live website states. "The lines of reality and imagination start to blur as you weave through the forest."

Tickets are now on sale on Ticketmaster starting at $20 for adults and $16 for children ages 2 to 12. Prices are lower from Monday through Thursday. On Friday through Sunday, ticket prices start at $25 for adults and $21 for children + fees.
