13-Year-Old Took Her Own Life After Being Bullied In School And On Social Media

“My daughter was bullied to death,” says Antoinette about her 13-year-old child, Tierra, whom she called “Muffin.” “I thought all Muffin needed was love and support from her family. But the hate of her enemies was stronger than her mother’s love.” Antoinette says she’s angry and feels cheated that her teen, whom she says was her “twin,” will not get to live out her life with her and her four other children. “Being accepted by her peers is something she really, really wanted,” Antoinette says. “I feel like she wasn’t given a fair chance.” In the video above, Antoinette describes what Muffin was like. And, she reveals details about the bullying and taunting she says her daughter suffered. On Monday’s episode of Dr. Phil, "'Bullied to Death,'" Dr. Phil discusses what it’s like for a child to be bullied to the point they think there’s no other way to escape the hopelessness and despair than to end their life. And, he offers a message to all parents. Check local listings to see where you can watch. TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Ask Dr. Phil
