We’ve all seen 27 Dresses at this point, right? In case you don’t live for cheesy rom-coms or have entirely too much time on your hands (ahem), here’s a quick recap: Katherine Heigl’s character, Jane, is the always-the-bridesmaid-never-the-bride workaholic who basically leads the single-as-a-Pringle brigade having been a bridesmaid 27 times. And trust, she has the dresses to prove it.

Queue the montage of Katherine Heigl’s character trying on 27 monstrosities — I mean bridesmaid dresses — that somehow all fit in one overstuffed closet in her New York apartment. Let’s just say this scene will live rent-free in my mind forever (along with how beautiful James Marsden was, but that’s a story for another day). The taffeta. The lime green. The outrageous. We know it, we feel it, we are it at this point. The movie even opens with two separate brides referencing the bridesmaid dresses and saying, “You can shorten it and wear it again!” to which Katherine Heigl’s character replies, “That is definitely so true!”

But, we all know the truth: No one will ever wear that again, Karen. In fact, if I didn’t care about the environment, I would throw ugly bridesmaid dresses in a firepit and dance around them while singing “to the window, to the wall” à la Sandra Bullock and Betty White in The Proposal. Dramatic? Yes. Warranted? Also, yes.

That being said, here are the bridesmaid dresses you’ll actually want to wear long after the wedding:
