Wesselman Woods is offering free yoga on the first Thursday of every month. This month participants have the opportunity to train with instructor Damien Burge.

6:35 p.m., Bosse Field, 23 Don Mattingly Way in Evansville. Tickets range from $6 to $12.

Join the Evansville Otters as they take on the Florence Y'alls for Budweiser Thirsty Thursday.

Friday

Lunch on the Lawn

11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Old Courthouse, 201 NW Fourth St. in Evansville. Free.

Enjoy warm weather and food trucks while overlooking the architecture of the iconic Old Courthouse.

All Messed Up: Back to School Bash

1 to 3 p.m., C-MOE-Koch Family Children's Museum, 22 S.E. Fifth. Cost included in museum admission.

This back-to-school bash will feature a bubble station, splat painting, sidewalk art painting, a water ballon launch, a kiddie car wash, egg drop challenge, and more!

Haynie’s Corner First Friday

5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Haynie’s Corner Arts District. Free.

The family-friendly, monthly First Friday celebration will feature food trucks, live music, art, entertainment, and more. This week will feature music from Irish Jam Band and Soul N Pocket.

Volkfest 2023

11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Aug. 3-5, Germania Maennerchor 916 N. Fulton Ave. Tickets are $5.

It's time to celebrate German culture. This annual three-day event includes live polka music, food for $12 for bratwurst or pigs knuckles meals, and they'll be serving their famous Kraut Balls, German bologna sandwiches, pork chops, homemade German potato salad and more. A beer-and-wine garden will be available to those 21 and over.

Join the Evansville Otters as they take on the Schaumburg Boomers for the E for Everyone Night, a night of uniting and bringing Evansville together with fun, prizes, and fireworks.

Saturday

Franklin Street Bazaar

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. along West Franklin Street in Evansville. Free.

Every Saturday on the lawn of the West Branch Library, hundreds of vendors from local farmers and producers to bakers to artists and craftsmen have pop-up shops for visitors to discover local products.

Ivy Tech Wellness in the Park

10 a.m. to Noon, Wesselman Park, 551 N. Boeke Road. Free.

This family-friendly and fun-filled day will include games, sports, arts, music, and an optional hike to the Masters Gardners Display Garden.

EVPL Foundation Annual Summer Book Sale

Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m., Washington Square Mall, 4800 Washington Ave. Free.

Add to your personal collection with hundreds of books, audiobooks, CDS, and DVDs, on sale ranging from $.50 to $2.

Baptisttown Culture & Arts Festival Festival

11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Evansville African American Museum, 579 S Garvin St. in Evansville. Free.

The Evansville African American Museum is hosting this family-friendly event celebrating 160 years of freedom with live music from Dekar Baker and Friends. There will also be food and items for sale by local vendors.

Join the Evansville Otters as they take on the Schaumburg Boomers for a night beyond the galaxy. It's Star Wars Night and fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Star Wars characters and meet some favorites from the series.

'On the Roof' concert series

7 p.m. to 10 p.m., 212 Main St. in Evansville. Free. 

The Arts Council's concert series will have performances from Xanderwolf and The Chugs.
