As autumn approaches, it brings with it the staples of the season: sweaters, apple picking, and, of course, a new host of can’t-miss tours. From the biggest names in modern music to icons from the past, music fans are in no short supply of highly-anticipated upcoming shows. To help you start hammering out your fall concert schedule, we’ve rounded up 11 of the most essential R&B and hip-hop tours coming to a city near you. Armand Hammer

Underground hip-hop heroes Armand Hammer (Billy Woods and ELUCID) have a brand-spankin’-new album on the way, We Buy Diabetic Test Strips. But that’s not all, because they’re also bringing their left-field raps on the road. The trek predictably kicks off in New York City on October 1st, and the duo will make their way through the United States through November before picking it back up in January.

Digable Planets

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Reachin’ (A New Refutation of Time and Space), hip-hop trio Digable Planets have charted out a tour across North America. Starting in Raleigh, North Carolina, on September 8th, the trek will go on to hit 11 additional cities including D.C., Boston, Philadelphia, and more. If they’re coming anywhere near you, take it as your chance to catch legends of the genre performing some of their most heralded work.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat has entered her weird era, and we’re so here for it. Now that she’s grabbed our “Attention” with the singles from her upcoming album Scarlet, we’re all the more excited for her fast-approaching tour dates. Kicking off on October 31st in San Francisco, the 24-date run sees the artist accompanied by Ice Spice and TDE rapper/singer Doechii — a trio for the ages.
Ms. Lauryn Hill

The Miseducation of Lauren Hill is an undisputed classic (in fact, we ranked it as the second best hip-hop album of all time). For the record’s 25th anniversary, the iconic artist is taking the album on the road, and she’s brining along her old rap group Fugees for good measure. Seemingly, this 11-date run is geared towards a very specific audience: people who enjoy incredible music.

Lil Uzi Vert

After being the year’s first hip-hop artist to nab a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with Pink Tape, Lil Uzi Vert is set to hit the road. The “Pink Tape Tour” will hit 17 cities, including Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and more, and runs from October 21st through December 4th.
Little Simz

For the first time since 2019, British-Nigerian rapper Little Simz is heading to North America for a run of dates. The artist will kick off the tour in Chicago on September 20th, before making her way across the continent and eventually wrapping up in New York City on October 13th. Noname

If you’re like us, you are still reeling from the recent release of Noname’s Sundial. Luckily, the rapper is heading out on tour off of the back of that excellent release. Her first tour in four years, the run kicks off in on October 11th in her hometown of Chicago. She’ll go on to hit New York City, Toronto Atlanta, New Orleans, Los Angeles, and more.
Run the Jewels

Believe it or not, Run the Jewels’ debut is 10 years old. To celebrate, Killer Mike and El-P have announced “RTJX – Celebrating 10 Years of Run the Jewels,” a 16-date run. A full celebration of the duo’s accomplishments, each show will boast a unique, career-spanning setlist. Now, all that’s left to do is wait for RTJ 5.

It’s nearing a year since SZA dropped SOS (and graced the cover of Consequence!), but its impact is still being felt. As such, the artist has extended her “SOS Tour” through the fall. Hitting cities like Toronto, Brooklyn, Boston, Chicago, Denver, and more, this is your second chance to catch the one-of-a-kind artist.
Thundercat

World-class bassist, irresistible personality, and all-around music superstar Thundercat has announced the “In Yo Girl’s City Tour.” As promised, the musician will be hitting a string of cities that your girl may or may not be in through the end of October. Perhaps the only way to protect your girl is to get a ticket for yourself.
Travis Scott

Travis Scott has packed his assortment of belts and is getting ready to return to the road for the “Travis Scott Presents Utopia – Circus Maximus” tour. The rappers first tour since the 2021 Astroworld Festival tragedy comes after plans for a concert at the Pyramids of Giza this July fell through. Now, though, Scott is set to hit the road on October 11th in Charlotte, North Carolina, going on to play 38 more dates before wrapping up.
