Curb Your Enthusiasm

After nearly three years off the air, Larry David's iconic HBO series is back for its 12th and last season, which premieres on Feb. 4. In a statement published by several outlets including The Hollywood Reporter, David reflected on playing his curmudgeonly alter ego on Curb Your Enthusiasm since 1999 (loosely based, of course, on David's real-life personality).

“As Curb comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be — the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character,” the comedian joked when confirming his beloved show's last installment. “And so ‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders.”

Extended Family

Extended Family

NBC's new comedy Extended Family is flipping expectations of adult relationships and at-home dynamics. Two-time Emmy winner Jon Cryer plays Jim, a newly-divorced dad navigating an amicable split from his ex Julia, played by Abigail Spencer. Tensions rise when Julia introduces Jim to her new boyfriend, Donald Faison's character Trey, but the divorcées maintain their friendship as a top priority.

Cryer told PEOPLE about his personal connection to the series, since the Two and a Half Men alum has an "extended family" of his own at home. He shares his son Charlie, 23, with ex-wife Sarah Trigger, and his daughter Daisy, 13, with Lisa Joyner, whom he married in 2007.

"As parents, you try to set an example, but I loved that Jim was much more that for good or ill,” the actor told PEOPLE ahead of the show's premiere on Dec. 23. “He was much more willing to show his faults and his flaws around his kids.”

School is back in session at Abbott Elementary, which returns Feb. 7 for its third season. The award-winning show — which is up for five Primetime Emmys at this year's ceremony in January — promises to bring another semester of classroom antics and break room hysterics

As seen in the season 3 trailer PEOPLE exclusively revealed in December, Janine (Quinta Brunson) and her fellow teachers have their hands full between their students, their students' parents and their coworkers. Viewers might also anticipate changes in some staff members' personal lives, as season 2 wrapped with Janine and Gregory Eddie (Tyler James Williams) finally confessing their romantic feelings for each other.

Grimsburg

Fox's new animated series, Grimsburg, was already renewed for a second season more a year before its season 1 premiere on Jan. 7. Jon Hamm voices the sitcom's central character Marvin Flute, who is the leading detective in the fictional town of Grimsburg.

The Mad Men star spoke to Jimmy Fallon about his new role on The Tonight Show, explaining that while the animated detective isn't necessarily "living his best life" — Hamm says the character can barely remember his son's name — Marvin Flute is "very good at solving crimes."

The series also features the voices of Rachel Dratch and Erinn Hayes as the rest of the Flute family.

Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette and their Night Court costars are back for another installment of the sitcom revival. Fans got a taste of what's to come in a special holiday episode, which aired days before the season 2 premiere on Jan. 2.

The festive episode saw Rauch's Judge Abby Stone and Larroquette's Dan Fielding — whom he also played in the original '80s series — posing as Santa Claus and an elf to avoid spoiling one little girl's Christmas.

In its sophomore season, which premieres on Feb. 7, Not Dead Yet is sure to come back with more hauntingly hilarious performances from the main cast and guest ghosts. The series kicked off with a band with cameos from Brittany Snow, Ed Begley Jr., Rhea Perlman, Julia Sweeney and more.

The Big Bang Theory's hit prequel is back for one last season, which is set to premiere on Feb. 15. CBS revealed that Young Sheldon will end with an hour-long final episode airing on May 16.

Though season 7's arrival is bittersweet, the cast has spoken out about their excitement about the episodes to come. Iain Armitage, who stars as Sheldon, shared a throwback photo with his young costars Montana Jordan and Raegan Revord.

"We will make the best 7th season we can possibly make," Armitage captioned his sweet post on Instagram. "And behind the scenes there will be lots of laughter and lots of tears because I love all of these people so much."
