Retro Rides at Navy Pier

It’s cruise night on the Chicago lakefront this weekend. A collection of more than a hundred vintage and custom automobiles from Chicago’s own Klairmont Kollections Automotive Museum will be rolling into Festival Hall at Navy Pier, some more sculpture than vehicle. The accompanying photo shows a 1960 Ford Fairlane “Spaceliner” that was customized with a bubble canopy in place of a roof. Visitors can ogle the sheet metal, hear Chicago DJs and sample offerings from food vendors.

Fiesta Del Sol

This four-day family-friendly festival celebrates Latino heritage, history, culture and language in Pilsen. The event includes a Ferris wheel; booths of tacos, tamales and tostadas; and artists performing on three stages.

‘Music and Dances of Bollywood’

Presented by the Kalapriya Center for Indian Performing Arts, Monday’s Night Out in the Parks experience celebrates the color, fashion, dance and music of Bollywood cinema.

Chinatown Summer Fair

This neighborhood street festival celebrates Far East culture, food, art and music. It kicks off with a lion dance procession and will feature performances, kung fu demonstrations, food from Chinatown restaurants, arts and crafts exhibits, various street vendors, and a children’s area.

‘The Blue Paradox’

This new immersive experience at the MSI in Hyde Park takes on the subject of oceans loaded with plastic garbage. Digital projections and other kinds of displays surround museum-goers to take them deep underwater and explore the impact plastics have on the planet’s largest ecosystem.

Ed Sheeran +-=÷x Tour

The English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is touring behind his new album, “Subtract,” with his stadium tour called the “+ - = ÷ x Tour” (and pronounced “The Mathematics Tour”). That is, it’s not all a stadium tour; before his concert at Soldier Field with guests KHALID and Cat Burns, Sheeran headlines the Chicago Theatre with guest Ben Kweller.

Wicker Park Fest

This European-style flea market celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Browse art, antiques, vintage items, décor, fashion pieces and jewelry at this indoor/outdoor event. This weekend’s music lineup includes the Maxwell Street Blues Band with Lowreen, the Tony Morrison Jazz Quintet with Robin Watson and DJ Dave House.
