Let Us Count the Seasons Of Bieber

Let Justin Bieber ease you into the new decade.

A 10-part documentary about Bieber's life called "Justin Bieber: Seasons" will kick off next month on YouTube, as reported by The Shade Room. Since YouTube was where Bieber got his start, it only makes sense that this commemorative docu-series would appear there.

"Justin Bieber: Seasons" is also the first docs-series by YouTube Originals.

Bieber put out an Instagram post to make the announcement, writing: "YouTube just announced its 10-part documentary about the life of #JustinBieber dropping this January. Y’all watching or nah?"

"When I was getting started, YouTube provided me a platform and a community where I could share music, experiences and moments with my fans. It feels great to partner with YouTube for this original documentary series. I want my fans to be part of this journey.”

He Was Never Really Gone

Global head of original content for YouTube Susanne Daniels had this to say about the project:

“Justin Bieber’s courage as an artist is truly admirable and we are grateful he continues to share his inspiring story on YouTube. As we aim to spotlight authentic struggles and real-life triumphs in our YouTube Originals, we are thrilled to add this special project to our 2020 slate.”

An announcement was made on YouTube with a very brief message from Bieber wishing us all a Happy New Year.

Let's Not Forget He's Not Even 30 Yet

Bieber is just 25, and a documentary about his life is coming in 2020. It's true that he was discovered by Scooter Braun when he was 13, and that seems like eons ago. Still, something seems off here.

Some weren't buying the whole "life documentary" thing. nina___mosley wrote "The life? How old is he again? Damn they act like he 75 years old or dead."

hood_jama asked "Who?," and ___yea_her said "Why?"

It's safe to say there's plenty of material for a Justin Bieber docu-series; it's just not clear if a documentary about his life should be made now.

It's Still Springtime For Him

According to Billboard, "Justin Bieber: Seasons" is directed by OBB Pictures’ Michael D. Ratner, who also executive produces it. Bieber is also an executive producer for the project.

Bieber's career continues to skyrocket -- he's known as one of the best-selling music artists in the world, selling about 150 million records and counting. He came only second to Katy Perry for gaining the most followers on Twitter, reaching 100 million in August 2017.

Way back in 2016, Bieber was the first artist to reach 10 billion video views on Vevo, and from 2011 through 2013, he was dubbed one of the 10 most powerful celebrities in the world by Forbes magazine.

The YouTube docu-series begins Monday, Jan. 27 at noon ET.
