Although the year is winding down and the holiday season is set to begin, Memphis will still see an array of artists passing through town for a series of high-profile concerts in November.

The shows will include a mix of acts, from critically acclaimed country singers (Ashley McBryde) to arena-filling R&B divas (Anita Baker) to notable comedians (Adam Sandler, Desi Banks) and much more.

Here is a look at 10 shows slated for the coming weeks, as we pick the best live entertainment for November.

Sons of Mystro: Nov. 2, Buckman Arts Center at St. Mary’s School

The young modern violin duo The Sons of Mystro — led by brothers Malcolm and Umoja McNeish — will play the Buckman Arts Center at St. Mary’s School on Nov. 2. The pair have performed with The Fray, Najee, Fantasia, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Charlie Wilson, New Edition and Earth, Wind and Fire, among others. Mentored by the famed Black Violin, the Emerging Artist Under 21 award winners use their instruments to interpret reggae classics, American pop songs and their own creations accompanied by a DJ and a drummer. Mudhoney: Nov. 3, Hi Tone Café

Grunge greats and still one of the best rock 'n' roll bands on the planet, Seattle’s Mudhoney returns to Memphis for a concert at the Hi-Tone Café on Nov. 3. The band — which launched 35 years ago — is touring in support of its 11th and latest album, “Plastic Eternity.” The show presented by the local label/retailers Goner Records will also feature an opening set by Hooveriii in the Hi-Tone’s big room upstairs. Rizo: Nov. 3, The Green Room

Grammy award-winning chanteuse Rizo will make a special Nov. 3 appearance at the intimate Green Room inside the Crosstown Concourse. The NYC-based performer — known for her collaborations with Moby and Yo-Yo Ma — has a history in the Bluff City, having completed work on her 2017 album “Indigo” at Memphis' Royal Studios. A powerhouse vocalist, Rizo blends rock 'n' roll bravado, vintage pop diva theatrics and a comedic sensibility, a mix that has earned her a cult following worldwide. Desi Banks: Nov. 4, Minglewood Hall

Online comedy star and standup Desi Banks makes his way back to Memphis, as part of his “The Purpose Chaser Tour.” A former football player for Morehead State, Banks first began making his lively comedy videos on the internet back in 2012. Over the last decade, the 30-year-old funnyman become one of the top online content creators and pursued an acting and standup comedy career. He will take the stage of Midtown’s Minglewood Hall on Nov. 4 for a headlining set. Tickets: $35-$72; go to Ticketmaster.com.

Brittany Howard: Nov. 10, Minglewood Hall

Grammy-award winning Alabama Shakes frontwoman Brittany Howard will headline a concert from Mempho Presents at Minglewood Hall on Nov. 10. Howard brings her “What Now Tour” to the Midtown venue, along with opening act, experimental musician L’Rain. Howard, who led the Shakes for a decade prior to the band’s hiatus, has been pursuing a solo career, which includes her 2018 debut, "Jamie," and the forthcoming “What Now.” Tickets: $55-$62; go to Ticketmaster.com.

Ashley McBryde: Nov. 11, Orpheum

Arkansas native and critically acclaimed country music singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde comes to Downtown’s Orpheum on Nov. 11. The six-time Grammy nominee recently released her “The Devil I Know” album and will be stopping in Memphis to support the LP, headlining a bill that will include fellow Arkansan musician JD Clayton. The Sand Man is back on the road and coming to Memphis as part of his “I Missed You Tour.” "Saturday Night Live" alumnus, actor and comedy superstar Adam Sandler is on the road this fall, playing 25 dates across North America and bringing his humorous songs and standup to arenas including Downtown’s FedExForum. The Nov. 16 show is teasing a ”special guest” in addition to Sandler’s headlining turn. Tickets: $56-$456; go to Ticketmaster.com.

Rod Wave: Nov. 20, FedExForum

Rapper and singer Rod Wave is bringing his “Nostalgia Tour” to FedExForum on Nov. 20. The 25-year-old Floridian has become one of the forerunners of the “trap soul” sound, having delivered a series of chart-topping albums over the last few years including the recently released “Nostalgia,” which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard. In what’s billed as a “large-scale multi-city outing,” the tour will feature Rod Wave headlining with supporting acts including Ari Lennox, Toosii and Eelmatic. Anita Baker: Nov. 22, FedExForum

Eight-time Grammy Award-winning R&B vocalist Anita Baker returns to the road for “The Songstress” tour. The 65-year-old “Sweet Love” hitmaker, who hasn’t done a full-scale tour since 1995, will be making a very rare appearance in Memphis, headlining FedExForum the night before Thanksgiving. M-Town Funk and Blues Fest: Nov. 25, Cannon Center for the Performing Arts

Downtown’s Cannon Center will be the site of the inaugural M-Town Funk & Blues Feston Nov. 25. The package bill will feature an array of top veteran acts, including Midnight Star, Original Lakeside, Memphis' own Larry Dodson and his band, Southern soul sensation O.B.
