10 'Friends' Episodes to Binge Before the Series Leaves Netflix

Click here to read the full article.

When it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year, it’s totally acceptable to turn to Netflix and start binge-watching your favorite episodes of Friends. But unfortunately, fans of the show can only do that for so much longer. The popular sitcom is leaving the streaming platform on Jan. 1 and headed to HBO Max in 2020, meaning we have to soak up every last bit of Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, Monica, Joey, and Chandler while we still can.

While there’s likely not enough time to re-watch all ten seasons (although, we give credit to those who make that brave attempt!), there’s plenty of time to stream the most memorable, iconic episodes. Read on for 10 episodes of Friends you need to watch before the series leaves Netflix.

More from SheKnows

Season 1, Episode 1: “The Pilot”

It would be wrong not to journey back to the beginning one last time. “The Pilot” also known as “The First One” and “The One Where It All Began” sets the stage for the following seasons to come, with Rachel storming into Central Perk in a wedding dress after leaving Barry at the altar. She ends up moving in with Monica and being forced into the real world, whether she likes it or not. “So like, you guys all have jobs?” she innocently asks.

Season 3, Episode 16: “The One With the Morning After”

Ross and Rachel get into a fight and “take a break” to cool off — but Ross ends up sleeping with another woman. After Rachel admits she wants to work things out the next day, he tries desperately to prevent her from learning what he had done.

Season 3, Episode 2: “The One Where No One’s Ready”

Ross desperately tries to get the group ready for an event being held at his museum, but after he yells at Rachel, she decides not to go. Monica gets an unexpected message from her ex-boyfriend Richard and ends up breaking into his answering machine to find out if the message is old or new. Chandler refuses to get up from the couch where Joey was sitting, to retaliate, he puts on everything Chandler owns. (Could he be wearing any more clothes?)

Season 4, Episode 12: “The One With the Embryos”

An episode filled with bets and guessing games goes awry after Ross creates the ultimate lightning round trivia. What started out as an innocent game ends up with Rachel and Monica losing their apartment to Joey and Chandler.

Season 5, Episode 14: “The One Where Everybody Finds Out”

Everybody seemingly knows about Monica and Chandler’s secret relationship, but no one knows that everybody knows. After Phoebe tries to get Chandler to confess his secret by aggressively hitting on him (she’s very bendy!), he finally cracks and admits he’s “in love” with Monica.

Season 5, Episode 16: “The One With the Cop”

Ross buys a brand new couch and asks Rachel and Chandler to help him get it up to his apartment — though the task is nearly impossible. He yells repeatedly for them to “PIVOT” in order to get the couch up the stairs, but to no avail.

Season 6, Episode 10: “The One With the Routine”

When Ross and Monica get the chance to dance at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, they whip out their perfectly choreographed dance routine from their childhood in an effort to attract the cameras.

Season 8, Episode 9: “The One With the Rumor”

Will (played by Brad Pitt) joins the group for Thanksgiving dinner and admits that he still hates Rachel after how she treated him in high school. It later comes out that he and Ross had an “I Hate Rachel Club” where they started a rumor about her “teeny weeny” back in the day.

Season 9, Episode 8: “The One With Rachel’s Other Sister”

Rachel’s self-absorbed sister Jill (played by Christina Applegate) shows up and spends Thanksgiving with the group after she’s ditched by her boyfriend. After she learns that she wouldn’t be given Rachel and Ross’s daughter Emma if they were to die, she ends up feuding with just about everyone.

Season 10, Episode 18: “The Last One Part 2”

After Ross confesses his love for Rachel and begs her not to take a job overseas, the on-again, off-again couple finally (FINALLY!) get back together.
