Her quick-witted quips and sharp humor have made Wendie Malick, 73, a fan favorite in sitcoms and movies for the last 40+ years. The 5’10” actress initially began her career as a fashion model, working for various designers and appearing in magazines. After a stint in politics, she decided to become an actress.

After transitioning into acting in the late 1970s, one of her early notable roles was as Judith Tupper Stone in the sitcom Dream On, which aired from 1990 to 1996. She received critical acclaim for her performance in this series.

Malick is perhaps best known for her role as the hilarious Nina Van Horn in the sitcom Just Shoot Me! (1997–2003), for which she earned two Primetime Emmy Awards nods and a Golden Globe nomination. Malick's portrayal of the eccentric and vain fashion editor garnered her widespread recognition and contributed to the show's success. TV Land has even referred to her as “the queen of physical comedy.”

But Malick has proven she’s more than just a funny girl, seamlessly transitioning from big to small screen with comedic and dramatic parts repeatedly. She’s a familiar face to fans across generations, having guest-starred in more than 50 shows over the years.

In her 70s, she’s still gracing our TVs and cinema screens today, with recent parts in the film Endings, Beginnings, Billions, Hot in Cleveland, and the Lifetime thriller Deranged Granny. “I always describe myself as a work in progress. There are still so many things I don’t know and so much that I want to get better at, including being a good actress,” the star shared with Closer Weekly in 2018.

Here, we take a trip down memory lane and look back at her ten most memorable roles and our favorite Wendie Malick movies and TV shows.
