Adorable Candy Cane Reindeer Craft

Rice Krispie treats just got a holiday makeover. Your kids will be delighted when you hand them these reindeer sweets! Be sure you save one for yourself, too!

Materials:

  • Rice Krispie treats

  • Royal icing

  • Candy canes

  • Cellophane baggies

  • Twist ties

  • Googly eyes

  • Brown pipe cleaners

  • Red pom-poms

Tools:

  • Hot glue gun

  • Mortar and pestle

Instructions: 

  1. Crush half your candy canes in a mortar and pestle.

  2. Dip the bottom half of your treats in royal icing and sprinkle with crushed candy canes. You can zig-zag a little royal icing on the rest of the treat for a festive design. Allow the icing to set.

  3. Bag the treats and tie off with twist ties.

  4. Lance a candy cane into your treat to create a handle.

  5. Twist your pipe cleaners into antlers.

  6. Glue some googly eyes, a pom pom for a nose and the antlers onto your baggies.
