Zendaya Calls Out Modeliste Magazine for Photoshopping Her Into Oblivion

Zendaya’s got a message for the magazines of the world: she’s feelin’ herself and please do not photoshop her into a toothpick with a head.

The 19-year-old body image/intersectionality activist called out Modeliste magazine on Instagram, after they released shots from a cover shoot she did with them in which she looks, well, different.

“Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated,” Zendaya wrote on Instagram. “These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have. Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love. So I took it upon myself to release the real pic (right side) and I love ii. Thank you @modelistemagazine for pulling down the images and fixing this retouch issue.”

The photo in question has been pulled from the magazine’s website, because Zendaya always wins.
