Zayn Malik and Other Stars Who Cast Their Significant Other in a Music Video
Zayn Malik finally confirmed that he’s dating model Gigi Hadid on Wednesday during an interview with Zach Sang & the Gang. Speculation that the two were an item hit an all-time high after the former One Direction member cast the super model as his video girl in his first solo single, “Pillowtalk."
The radio show managed to get Malik to come clean about his rumored relationship when co-host Jillian Gutowitz asked, "Was it cool to have your girlfriend in your video?”
Zayn responded, "Yeah, that was cool. That was something different. And yeah, we enjoyed it. It was fun; we had a lot of fun on set.”
For good measure, Gutowitz slipped in one more gal pal-related question: “No one easier to make out with than your own girlfriend, right?”
“Exactly,” Malik laughed before recognizing her interview technique. “I like what you’ve done there."
The 23-year-old singer obviously isn’t the first artist to date a model or cast his significant other in a music video. John Legend, Adam Levine, Seal, Nick Jonas, and more have also mixed business with a little pleasure.
