Yankees Fan Loses Engagement Ring During Proposal as Stadium Looks On
A swing and a miss.
Yankees fan Andrew Fox's mid-game proposal didn't go as planned Tuesday when he opened up the ring box to find the engagement diamond he purchased alarmingly missing.
The entire stadium looked on – as well as the TV audience at home – as Fox and girlfriend Heather Terwillinger searched for the M.I.A. bauble with help from their seatmates.
"I literally started crying because I thought it was lost," Fox told ESPN. "It happened so fast."
The search took five minutes, Terwillinger said, before they discovered the bling stuck in the cuff of her flared jeans, ESPN reported.
After the ring's retrieval, the entire stadium erupted into cheers, and Fox dropped down to one knee.

Luckily, Terwillinger – who wasn't expecting a proposal – said yes.
A kiss sealed the deal on a certainly unforgettable moment.
