Why We Wouldn’t Want to Arm Wrestle Anna Wintour

Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour is known for wearing dark designer sunglasses and a classic bob hairstyle.

But what really caught our attention in a new video produced by her magazine’s website are Wintour’s incredibly toned arms. Seriously, they rival Madonna’s. Watch the short clip below, which demonstrates what happens when the iconic editor trades lives with comedian Amy Schumer for a day, to see for yourself.

Right off the bat, the 66-year-old Wintour bares the guns that we presume she’s earned from daily tennis workouts. (We can’t really imagine her pumping iron, can you?)

A fixture at notable tennis tournaments, Wintour herself has been known to play for an hour each day at the Midtown Tennis Club in Manhattan.

Instructor Byron Spence raved about her game in a 2012 interview with the New York Times.

“She’s like a retriever,” Spence said. “She’s so fast. She’ll chase down everything. She doesn’t hit with a lot of spin, but she has an amazing cross-court forehand."

The first lady of fashion could also have picked up some tips for keeping her arms in tiptop shape when she encountered our country’s first lady, Michelle Obama, at the ribbon cutting for the Anna Wintour Costume Center at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2014.

The inspiration for Meryl Streep’s frosty character in The Devil Wears Prada has a reputation for being not quite as nice to her underlings as she was to FLOTUS.

If you’re looking to please Nuclear Wintour, do what Karl Lagerfeld did and build the woman a tennis court.
