Why Is Marc Anthony Suddenly Kissing Everyone?
It was the kiss seen round the world. On Thursday night at the Latin Grammy Awards, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony raised quite a few eyebrows when they shared an onstage kiss at the end of their performance of “Olvidame y Pega la Vuelta.” Given that Anthony recently announced his separation from Venezuelan model Shannon de Lima after two years of marriage, tongues were wagging.
Lopez presented Anthony with the Latin Recording Academy’s Person of the Year award and gushed in Spanish, “Marc, you are a living legend who has laid bare your heart and soul on your musical journey. We’ve learned so much, and we’ve grown so much, and you’ve always been so many things in my life: my mentor, a twin soul, a father who’s not only the Person of the Year, he’s the person of all time.”
The two were married for 10 years and divorced in 2014. However, the exes remain on friendly terms and share 7-year-old twins, Emme and Max. Following the kiss, speculation quickly followed that the former couple might reunite. Find out why Anthony is continuing with his kiss-a-thon in the video above.
While fans may hope for a romantic reunion between the pair, the only collaboration happening in the future will be in the recording studio. Anthony will be executive-producing an all-Spanish album with Lopez under his Magnus Media shingle.
