Watch Katie Holmes Squirm When Asked Which Dawson's Creek Costar Was the Better Kisser: James Van Der Beek or Joshua Jackson

Katie Holmes' lips are sealed.

Holmes, 37, found herself in the hot seat on Wednesday night when she stopped by The Late Late Show and host James Corden grilled her on her Dawson's Creek days. Corden asked her which of her costars she thought was the better kisser: James Van Der Beek (Dawson) or Joshua Jackson (Pacey)?

And it turns out, she's just as torn as young Joey Potter was.

The actress became noticeably uncomfortable, laughing and squirming in her seat to avoid the question.

"I can't!" she said before quickly turning the tables and throwing the question back to Corden and fellow guests Ryan Reynolds and Judd Apatow.

"I think Der Beek, 'cause I would get straight up in his grill," said Corden.

Reynolds also chimed in, revealing that he's known Jackson since he was a teenager.

"I went to high school with Josh and I can tell you right now he's a terrific kisser," the Deadpool actor joked.

Holmes refused to give a straightforward answer, but she did appear to agree with Reynolds' guess.

"Well, I mean if he says so," she said as she shrugged her shoulders and smiled.

But while both Van Der Beek and Jackson were certainly memorable, Holmes did reveal that neither of them were her first onscreen kiss.

"I do remember my first. I was 18 and it was on Dawson's Creek," she explained. "It was a guest star and it was so awkward because with a first kiss in real life, if it doesn't go well you're kinda like, 'Oh I gotta get home' and never have to deal with that person again."

"But on screen, you're probably gonna have to have lunch, and probably have to work together tomorrow," she continued.
