Vin Diesel Posts His First Tweet, Which Is a Sexy Shirtless Shot (of Course!)

Nobody will ever describe Vin Diesel as an early adopter of Twitter. The action star has finally posted his first tweet on the social media site.

While he’s a little late to the party, Vin started out with a bang. His first post, which was sent out to the Twitterverse on Wednesday night, is a sexy shirtless shot, ’cause … duh.

“Thanks for the love,” the xXx: Return of Xander Cage star, 49, captioned the photo, in which his hands are up in the air, showing off his tattooed torso, as a rainbow brightens up the scenic backdrop.

Vin actually joined Twitter in March 2015, but he has been holding out on us for nearly two years by not tweeting anything. Just because he’s late to the Twitter game doesn’t mean he’s anti-social (media). He actually has a huge presence on both Facebook (101,091,600 likes) and Instagram (31.4 million followers). He regularly posts pics from the set, as well as throwbacks of “Pablo” (the late Paul Walker) and videos in which he’s just gabbing. (Fun fact: Vin Diesel loves to gab.)

Vin actually became the first actor to hit 100 million likes on FB in July. Only two other people had achieved the milestone: singer Shakira and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.

On Facebook, Vin explained why he’s finally tweeting. “I always had the one Facebook account, which I love… after a while I was convinced to add Instagram which I have enjoyed. Finally this year I just opened my new twitter account! Let’s see how this goes… might need you all to help me through the set up haha… any suggestions for my profile pic? All love!”

And his first tweet is getting all love. It already has more than 800 retweets and over 2,400 likes.
