Everyone romanticizes “love at first sight” but for Victoria Beckham it actually happened.

The Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer recalls the moment she fell for husband David Beckham in a letter she wrote to her past self – titled “What I Wish I’d Known” – for the October issue of Vogue UK, which she graces the cover.

“Yes, love at first sight does exist. It will happen to you in the Manchester United players’ lounge – although you will get a little drunk, so exact details are hazy,” Beckham, 42, wrote about the couple’s meet-cute.

And what made Posh fall head over heels wasn’t the fact that he was a soccer superstar in the making.

“While the other football players stand at the bar drinking with their mates, you will see David standing aside with his family. (He’s not even in the first team at this stage – you are the famous one.) And he has such a cute smile. You, too, are close to your family, and you will think how similar he feels to you,” she said.

Even more aww-worthy: David still keeps the memento of when he first scored his wife’s digits. “He’s going to ask for your number. (He still has the London-to-Manchester plane ticket on which you wrote it.),” Victoria shared.

After 17 years of marriage and four children together, their love is like fairy tale.
