Vanilla Ice’s Wife Files For Divorce After Nearly 20 Years of Marriage

Vanilla Ice's wife, Laura Van Winkle, has filed for divorce from the 48-year-old rapper, ET has learned.

Laura filed the official paperwork in Palm Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, after nearly 20 years of marriage.

Vanilla Ice (real name: Robert Matthew Van Winkle) and Laura tied the knot in 1997. The two share two daughters, Dusti Rain and KeeLee Breeze.

ET has reached out to Vanilla Ice and Laura for comment.

The GRAMMY-nominated artist recently appeared on season 23 of Dancing With the Stars, competing with dance pro Witney Carson. One day before Laura filed for divorce, the Texas native wished Witney a happy birthday via Twitter.

"Happy birthday to my partner @WitneyCarson," he captioned the pic, which also featured fellow contestant James Hinchcliffe. "The best dancing @Ninja ever. @DancingABC #dwts."

He posted a similar selfie to Instagram, using the same caption.

The dance duo made their debut on the popular ABC reality competition series with a cha-cha-meets-hip-hop performance to Vanilla Ice's iconic hit, "Ice Ice Baby." Unfortunately, they were eliminated during the week four results show.

"It hit me on the first day. I was like, 'What kind of dancing is this?'" Vanilla Ice told ET ahead of the performance. "This is not what I'm used to."

"He's been so awesome," Carson added. "When he does his moves and he gets into it, it's so fun and I'm having such a great time. We have the cha-cha, so it's taking a lot of work but we're getting there."
