Trump Is Actually Winning Right Now Thanks to 'Undercover Trump Voters,' His Campaign Manager Says

Donald Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway claims the GOP nominee is actually winning the election thanks to "undercover Trump voters" who are too afraid to admit to others that they want him in the White House.

On the UK's Channel 4 News special President Trump: Can He Really Win? Conway insisted that polls showing Trump trailing his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton are inaccurate because they are "cherry-picked … by media outlets that are also bent on his destruction."

"Donald Trump performs consistently better in online polling where a human being is not talking to another human being about what he or she may do in the election," she said. "It's because it's become socially desirable, if you're a college educated person in the United States of America, to say that you're against Donald Trump."

"The hidden Trump vote in this country is a very significant proposition," she added.

Asked whether she had a number to support her claim, Conway replied, "Yes."

"What do you think that is?" the interviewer asked.

"I can't discuss it," Conway said. "It's a project we're doing internally. I call it the undercover Trump voter, but it's real."

Clinton had her strongest showing this month in a Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll released on Tuesday that showed the Democratic nominee leading Trump nationally by 12 points.

But new CNN/ORC battleground state polls show Clinton and Trump neck and neck in the battleground state of North Carolina, while Trump holds a a 5-point lead in the traditionally red state of Arizona.
