Tracy Morgan Walks Without a Cane One Year After Car Accident

Look at him go! Tracy Morgan is officially walking without a cane.

Over a year after his car accident, the funnyman, 46, was photographed taking steps unassisted at a car wash near his New Jersey home on Tuesday. The Saturday Night Live alum, who was being driven in a white Rolls-Royce, was accompanied by family members. He stayed in the car while it was being cleaned, then exited the vehicle to walk inside to pay.

This big milestone comes just over a week after Morgan was photographed driving in New York City. Steve Lacy, an anchor at Fox 5 News in New York, snapped a pic of the one-time 30 Rock star behind the wheel of a Lamborghini. He also visited Disneyland with his fiancée, Megan Wollover, and their daughter, Maven, this month.

In June 2014, Morgan was left in critical condition after a Walmart truck — operated by a driver who was speeding and hadn’t slept for a period “in excess of 24 hours,” according to investigators — crashed into his limo bus on the New Jersey Turnpike, killing his mentor, James “Jimmy Mack” McNair.

Morgan’s lawsuit against Walmart settled for an undisclosed sum in May.

During his first interview after the accident, which aired on the Today show in June, Morgan — who suffered traumatic brain injury in addition to broken bones — said he was still wasn’t 100 percent.

“I have my good days and my bad days,” he admitted. “Sometimes I don’t feel well. Sometimes emotionally I don’t feel well. I’m really focused on my memory coming back to me, my walking getting better. My balance is still off so I have to really focus on those things.”

Looks like his focus has paid off. It’s great to see him moving on his own again.
