They don’t call him Thor for nothing. On Thursday, Chris Hemsworth shared a short video on Instagram capturing what he dubbed the “greatest day” of his life (which is really saying something, considering that he is married with three children). What happened on this miraculous day, you ask? The 33-year-old star hit a sweet half-court shot, and one of his friends caught it on camera. That’s what. Perhaps more impressive still was that he launched the basketball with one hand (kind of like a shot put).

“Greatest day of my life #miracle photo cred @laithnakli thanks New Mexico Tech for the venue!” he gushed in a message under the video. The best part wasn’t the swoosh of the ball through the net, however. It was Chris’s victory dance — which closely resembled a “stop, drop, and roll” drill from grade school. (You know, the one you learn in case you ever catch on fire.)

He wasn’t on fire, but his moves sure were hot — and it didn’t take long for praise from fans to come rushing in. “THOR RULES,” one user wrote, while another added, “Just when you think @chrishemsworth couldn’t possibly be any more amazing… this happens!” Another explained, “Now I know why Chris Hemsworth is the almighty Thor.

Within 10 hours, the video had over 1 million views. ICYMI, here it is again:

But Hemsworth is hardly the first Hollywood star to prove he’s a baller. Two weeks ago, Justin Timberlake posted not one, but two videos of himself making his own half-court shots. Yes, that’s plural — two separate successes getting that ball through the net. Because he’s JT, he wasn’t in some college court; he was hanging out on the L.A. Lakers’s court when they played the Memphis Grizzlies (in which he is an investor). As you do.

Still got that range… Grizz took the L. All good though… bounce back!!!

Moments later, he posted again. “And just in case y’all thought it was a fluke…” he promised.

JT does succeed twice and has a great cheering squad — but his victory dance is seriously subpar, especially for a guy who everyone knows has some very solid dance moves. For that reason, and that reason alone, we’re giving this one to Thor.
