The Kardashians Were Dubbed 'America's First Family' and the Internet Is Furious

It’s another day, another Kardashian kontroversy.

The six Kardashian/Jenner women appear on the cover of November’s Cosmopolitan to mark the magazine’s 50th anniversary. But the Internet is not celebrating because they are mad over the cover line describing Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie as “America’s First Family.”

Even though it wasn’t Time magazine or the New York Times labeling them this — it’s a magazine that also ran the cover line, “Easiest Workout for an Epic Ass” — people are angry that the Kardashians are encroaching on Obama territory (as if momager Kris could hold a candle to superwoman Michelle Obama).

Frankly, we think the biggest insult here is that the Kardashian women are all on the cover and there is no Caitlyn, the most glamorous (and interesting) woman in the family. We also feel bad for Rob because, as the forgotten Kardashian, you know he wasn’t asked to be on the cover. Nobody seems to care about poor Rob.

At the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter how the Kardashians were described on the cover of some magazine. People just love to hate them — yet people continue to watch their shows, subscribe to their apps, buy their clothes, follow them on Instagram, and make magazines want to put them on their cover.
