Teresa Giudice Reflects on Her Time Behind Bars: ‘It Was Like Living in Hell’
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is starting a new chapter after serving 11 months in prison for fraud charges. The 43-year-old mother of four sat down with The Insider With Yahoo to reflect on her time behind bars and to promote her new memoir, Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again.
“It was not a country club at all, whatsoever,” she insists. “To me it was like living in hell.”
While the conditions were a wake-up call for Teresa, she was surprised by the friendships that she formed. “You think at prison, everyone’s bad there,” she says. “It’s not true. I mean, I met some amazing women, and then I prayed for them every day, and I can’t wait for them to reunite with their family.”
