Taylor Swift is #TeamKesha in her legal battle with Dr. Luke, but it seems to have caused “Bad Blood” with Demi Lovato.

The “Wildest Dreams” singer announced she’s giving financial assistance — in the form of a $250,000 check — to Kesha, who’s battling to get out of a contract with megahit producer Dr. Luke, whom she accused of sexually assaulting her as well as psychologically damaging her.

“In a show of support, Taylor Swift has donated $250,000 to Kesha — who has received an outpouring of support from other celebrities from Kelly Clarkson to Lady Gaga — to help with any of her financial needs during this trying time,” Swift’s rep said in a statement to media outlets on Sunday. Kesha’s mother also confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, “Taylor Swift has just generously donated $250,000 to Kesha, as a show of support during this difficult time. AMAZING!!”

However, after news of our favorite bridesmaid’s donation broke, Lovato seemed to dis the move, if you want to read into her latest Twitter post.

And when called out by Swift fans, Demi didn’t back down.

“How the f**k am I making this about myself?” Lovato asked. “At least I’m talking about it. Not everyone has 250k to just give to people. Would love to but I didn’t grow up with money and def haven’t made as much as her. At least I speak up about s**t that’s uncomfortable to talk about rather than trying to be politically correct 24/7.”

As for throwing shade at Taylor, the BFF of her former BFF Selena Gomez, with whom she’s long had a rocky relationship, Lovato wrote, “There’s no ‘rivalry.’ I just give more f**ks than other people and would rather start a dialogue ABOUT WOMEN COMING FORWARD ABOUT BEING RAPED than throw money at one person.”

She continued, “I didn’t shade Taylor. If you take it that way than fine. I’m just tired of seeing women use ‘women empowerment’ and ‘feminism’ to further brands without actually being the ones that have the uncomfortable conversations. I get shade and I don’t give a f**k because someone has to be the one to take it. At least I’m getting my hands dirty.”

That sounds like shade to us.

On Friday, a judge denied Kesha’s bid to be let out of her contract with Dr. Luke, who has worked with a slew of A-list artists, including Katy Perry and Britney Spears. The producer denied the “Tik Tok” singer’s allegations and claimed she concocted her story to get out of the contract, in which she is required to make six more albums. The case is ongoing.
