Someone Asked Natalie Dormer How She Feels About Looking Like Kermit’s New Girlfriend, a Pig

There is really no way to compare a woman to a pig without it coming off as a massive insult which is perhaps something one person should have considered before asking Natalie Dormer about her similar appearance to that of Denise, Kermit the Frog’s new girlfriend on The Muppets, who is, in fact, a pig.

Dormer, who was sitting on a GoT panel alongside Finn Jones and Keisha Castle-Hughes at New York Comic-Con at the time, actually handles the question with a remarkable amount of aplomb.
Dormer recalled being bullied in school for her “piggy nose.” She also told a story about the third season of Game of Thrones, wherein Dormer’s character Margaery recounts being teased as a child for her nose. Dormer says she asked the showrunners to include a reference to a “piggy nose” in the script as a way to “[stick] two fingers up [the British equivalent of the middle finger] at the bullies of my childhood.”
“So that’s the answer to your question. I’d already made the comparison to my nostrils with a pig, so I mean I can’t really argue about it then,” Dormer concludes.
Stepping in, Jones, who plays her onscreen brother Loras, says, “I think everyone would agree that is one of the best looking females in the world. F–k you, bullies.”
