Sheryl Sandberg Remembers Late Husband 1 Year After His Tragic Death: 'There Is No End to Love'

It's been one year since Facebook COO and Lean In author Sheryl Sandberg's husband Dave Goldberg died suddenly at the age of 47, and she's taking a moment to remember the impact he left on her life.

"My deepest thanks to my family and friends who have shared their memories of Dave and carried me and my children through this past year," Sandberg, 46, wrote on Facebook on Sunday, exactly one year after Goldberg passed away. "I will always miss you, Dave. There is no end to love."

Mark Zuckerberg led the chorus of supportive messages on Sandberg's post, writing "We love you, Sheryl."

Five months ago, Sandberg shared a special New Year's Eve message with PEOPLE, saying her New Year's resolution was to write down at least three joyful things each day to help process the sudden passing of Goldberg.

"I want to choose life and meaning over death and tragedy and live Option B* as best I can," she wrote. "So I will try to focus on finding joy in the mundane and the profound – joy in the small things that make my children smile, joy in the moments of friendship that might otherwise pass by unnoticed, joy in the ability to appreciate the gift of life in a way I never did before."

In March, The New York Post's Page Six reported that Sandberg had begun dating billionaire Bobby Kotick. Neither Sandberg nor Kotick have publicly commented on the report.
