Selena Gomez Opens Up About Life on the Road

Selena Gomez kicks off her 50-date Revival World Tour on May 6 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. When The Insider With Yahoo online correspondent Hallie Stephens caught up with the 23-year-old, she dished on those moments before she walks out on the stage.

“There’s so many things running through my head, and I try to be calm but for some reason having a quiet time in a space before I go on to something so loud doesn’t make me relaxed,” she said. “So I like feeling pumped and energized, and I of course, you know, say a prayer, and I go on… Once the first 10 seconds I’m on stage [passes], it just goes away then I’m able to do my thing.”

And while hitting the road might seem like a lonely time, Selena makes sure to keep good company.

“I’ve had to have people around me that I love that I can feel inspired from,” she said.

During the tour, fans can purchase temporary tattoos designed to look just like the star’s seven tats.

So which one means the most to her?

“It’s a tie between my mom’s birthday here, I have 1976 on my neck and then I have a lower case g for my little sister Gracie,” she said with a smile. “So it would have to be a tie between those two.”
