See Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks Reunite in ‘Ithaca’ Trailer

It’s the Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks reunion we’ve all been waiting for!

On Thursday, the trailer for their new World War II drama, Ithaca, was released. The film marks Meg’s directorial debut and the fourth time she and Tom have shared the silver screen. While their collaboration in the period film is very brief, the heartwarming glance they exchange is bound to give you a good case of the feels.

The actors play the parents of 14-year-old Homer (Alex Neustaedter), who becomes a telegraph messenger during the war while his brother (portrayed by Meg and Dennis Quaid’s son, Jack Quaid) fights abroad.

Meg recently told Entertainment Weekly that she couldn’t have been more thrilled to have Tom on set to support her. “It was such an act of friendship. I love him so much,” she gushed.

And the love is definitely mutual. While their chemistry in movies like Joe Versus the Volcano, Sleepless in Seattle, and You’ve Got Mail is nothing short of electric, that mutual love and respect extends far beyond the big screen.
