Sarah Michelle Gellar celebrated her and Freddie Prinze Jr.‘s 14th wedding anniversary on Thursday with a cute tit-for-tat Instagram post.

“Happy anniversary @realfreddieprinze You stole my heart, so I got my revenge and took your last name!!” the 39-year-old actress captioned the pic of the two of them going in for a smooch, with a glass of champagne in her hand.

The two met on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer in 1997 and got married in Mexico in 2002. A wedding photo Gellar shared for last year’s anniversary showed Prinze Jr. barefoot and casually dressed in a white linen shirt and pants while she wore a ruffled strapless gown as they gazed into one another’s eyes while dancing.

At the time, they were young megastars (he was a teen heartthrob known for She’s All That, and she had a huge fan following thanks to Buffy the Vampire Slayer). They waited a while to have kids so they could have “the solid base that we have now,” Gellar said in 2009. They now have two children: son Rocky James, 3, and daughter Charlotte Grace, 8.

Two years ago, Gellar revealed the secret to their successful marriage: “We communicate,” she told Health. “That’s my secret. It’s not a secret, but it’s how I handle all my good relationships, whether they’re male-female or not. If you bottle things up, it explodes on you.”

But Prinze Jr., 40, insists the key is that he keeps his wife happy. “I cook and I clean,” he revealed. “[That way], at the end of the night, when you’re ready for what you’re ready for, there’s no, ‘Ah, I’m too tired, babe,’” he laughed.

But jokes aside, he acknowledged that they “also work very hard at it.” Seems like the hard work is paying off!
