Ryan Seacrest Tears Up After Being Asked to Serve as 'Man of Honor' at Sister's Wedding

Ryan Seacrest has yet another job.
The busiest man in showbiz, 40, has been tapped to serve as the “man of honor” in his younger sister Meredith’s upcoming wedding. She asked him to stand up with her in a sweet note that he shared on his social media accounts.

“I have a role in my sisters wedding,” Ryan wrote. “Just shed [a] tear. Love u mere.”
A few weeks back, the American Idol host shared the news that his sis, who is the Executive Director and COO of his Ryan Seacrest Foundation, was taking the plunge. Along with a photo of the happy couple, he wrote, “MY SISTER IS ENGAGED!! finally the pressure’s off me to have grandkids.“

The Seacrest siblings grew up in Georgia, where Ryan was the "Voice of Dunwoody High,” doing all the morning announcements at his school. He moved to Los Angeles when he was 19 and is now one of the richest men in showbiz. (Thank you, Kim Kardashian!)

Meredith isn’t interested in the spotlight the way her brother is. She mostly shuns social media (her Twitter account hasn’t been updated since 2013) and rarely appears on the red carpet with him (the last one they walked together was in 2004!). However, she was there — and so were their parents — when Ryan received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005.

Where Meredith will accompany her brother is to events related to his charity. She traveled with him to Boston, Charlotte, and Aurora, Colorado, to open studios in pediatric hospitals there. She and their parents also often vacation together along with whichever blonde Ryan is dating. (In fairness, he’s recently been linked to a brunette.)

Meredith, who rarely does interviews, told Variety, “[The foundation] is a good way to work as a team and as siblings. I love working with my brother."
So what will the man of honor wear on the big day? Likely himself. He has his own suit line, including shirts, belts, and bowties. We just hope he’ll be able to take a day off from his 50 jobs to attend the wedding.
