Rosie O’Donnell Wants to Impose Martial Law to Delay Trump’s Inauguration

In case you were wondering, Rosie O’Donnell still really, really detests Donald Trump. As January 20 draws near, O’Donnell has remained steadfast and vocal about her opposition to his impending presidency. On Wednesday night, the former View host took to Twitter (again) to share her thoughts, and, as usual, she didn’t mince words.

“I FULLY SUPPORT IMPOSING MARTIAL LAW,” she began in all caps. “DELAYING THE INAUGURATION – UNTIL TRUMP IS ‘CLEARED’ OF ALL CHARGES.” Her tweet came in response to another user, who made the suggestion over the social media site, seemingly in response to a video posted by CBS featuring Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez insisting the U.S. must respond “strongly” to Russian interference in election.

When another user defended Trump, Rosie took her on too.

Even before this, Rosie had tweeted to urge people to try to delay his impending inauguration. “DELAYtheDAY,” her message began. “investigate #TREASON don’t allow him to insult the legacy of 44 amazing leaders – PRESIDENTS – dignity is required #STOPHIM.”

This is hardly the first time the two have gone head-to-head, however. They first sparred over a decade ago, in 2006, when Trump decided not to fire Miss USA Tara Conner after she was caught using drugs and drinking when she was underage. From her View perch, O’Donnell accused Trump of not being a “self-made man” and compared him to a “snake-oil salesman on Little House on the Prairie.” Trump responded by calling her a “real loser.” A few years later, when O’Donnell announced her engagement, Trump tweeted that he felt “sorry” for Michelle Rounds, whose parents (he speculated) were probably “devastated” that she was marrying such a “loser.” The comedian responded by calling him an “a**.” (Rounds and O’Donnell have since divorced.)

For the past decade, O’Donnell and Trump have continued throwing insults at each other over topics ranging from O’Donnell’s show on Oprah’s network and her weight loss to (of course) his presidential run. Most recently, O’Donnell was in hot water after sharing a video suggesting that Trump’s youngest child, 10-year-old Barron, has autism. O’Donnell did apologize to Melania Trump for the tweet, insisting she had meant no harm (after Melania threatened to sue the person who originally posted the video).

With Trump’s inauguration a mere eight days away, it seems unlikely that O’Donnell will get her wish for the imposition of martial law. But she’s making her wishes known nonetheless.
